Ergon Energy - Safety Heroes

Overview

Ergon Energy is the major electricity distributor for regional Queensland and covers most areas of the state, apart from Brisbane and South East Queensland (from Coolangatta north to Gympie) and Goondiwindi and its surrounds.

Safety Heroes

The Ergon Safety Heroes program aims to help teach primary school students how electricity works and how to behave safely around electrical equipment. Materials include activity booklet, poster, fact sheets and lesson plans.

Community Fund

Ergon Energy also has an Community Fund grant program that provides funding for eligible not-for-profit organizations and community groups, including schools, to initiate projects centered around sustainability and conservation of energy.
