Tree of Life Web Project

Overview

The Tree of Life (ToL) web project is a network of over 10,000 connected webpages that contain information about the many diverse animals, plants and microorganisms that exist on planet Earth. ToL aims to have a web page dedicated to each group of organisms or species (extinct or living), and to be able to schematically represent the characteristics and relationships between these species or groups in the form of branches and leaves within an evolutionary tree.

Treehouses

Treehouses within ToL, are web pages written by students, teachers, nature enthusiasts and scientists that have been developed with learning in mind. Treehouses contain a variety of learning materials, including games, webquests, investigations, art activities, stories and songs that allow students and teachers to explore biology and biodiversity both inside and outside of the classroom.
