National Tree Day

Overview

National Tree Day provides an opportunity for schools, community groups and local residents to come together to make a positive difference to the environment. Growing local native trees, shrubs and ground covers helps to provide food and shelter for Australia's wildlife, increases native biodiversity and combats the habitat loss that threatens much of our wildlife. National Tree Day was co-founded by Olivia Newton John and Planet Ark in 1996. For 2015, National Tree Day will be held on 31 July.
