Waterwise Resources

Overview

The Using Water Wisely website is an initiative of the Queensland Government which aims to educate Queenslanders about water and its conservation.  The site links to resource packages and programs (Educational Resources, Saving Water at Home, Waterwise Gardening and Waterwise Councils) to promote water awareness in schools, in homes and within the community.

Water: Learn it for life!

The Waterwise Educational Resources page includes the 'Water: Learn it for life!' curriculum resource which provides Prep to Year 7 teachers with an engaging series of lesson plans and activities developed for teaching key elements of water education, including:

  • the water cycle
  • water conservation
  • water sources and storage
  • water efficiency
  • water recycling and alternative water sources
